Book Review - Scarred by Love by CA Harms

My Thoughts

Scarred by Love begins with Riley escaping a relationship literally. Her boyfriend has beaten her badly and she is running broken to her brother's apartment. Carson, Max, and her other brothers (Can we please have a book for each of her brothers? Pretty please?) head to Parker's to handle him while her parents and the police also get involved.

Time passes and Riley's physical injuries heal, but emotionally she is scarred from the experience and isn't looking to get involved again anytime soon. All that changes when she meets Zander (SCORCHING HOT MUSIC MAN ALERT) at a party with her best friend Kate and Carson (who need their very own book - hint). She is attracted to him right away as he pursues her at the party, but resists him when she mistakes his best friend for his girlfriend. (Don't even get me started on Beth.)

Thank goodness Riley gets her bar band groupie hat on and goes to see Zander play with his band. (Ok so thanks to Beth for that one. Still don't get me started.) Riley begins to let Zander into her heart and oh is this guy totally worth it. Now they both come with their own set of luggage to open up and unpack, but seriously they are just lovely as they fall for each other. I did mention that Zander is scorching hot, right? Yeah, so there's that too.

I absolutely LOVED Scarred by Love and give it 5 hearts!

About the Book

Riley thought she was in love. She thought she found the perfect guy until his aggressive behavior became too much to handle and she ran.

Becoming withdrew from the world and hiding from the chance of loving again. Having four older brothers and a determined best friend she had no choice but to stand strong.

Over time Riley was able to open up once again. She had no idea that the one person she needed was right under her nose.

She was guarded and hesitant when it came to bad boys...after all it was a bad boy that shattered her once before.

Zander wanted the girl from the party. He wanted to be near her even though she continued to push him away. He couldn’t let go of the gorgeous girl with those stormy eyes.

They both had secrets they kept hidden from one another. They found it easier to talk to others than to confide in each other. Riley begins to realize Zander isn't who she thought he was and falling for the sexy voiced Lead Singer/Guitar player may be just what she needs.

They struggle through hard times and learn to trust again. But will the love that grows be enough to hold them together or will the heartache they suffer drive a wedge between them forever.

They could be toxic to one another or they could heal the wounds that run deep within their souls.
