Jasmine is away on a business trip and goes to a local bar to relax for her birthday. She decides to take her friend's dare to have one night of passion with a stranger. Ethan rescues her from a creepy guy coming on to her then they spend the evening dancing and go back to his place. She leaves in the morning thinking that they would never see each other again. She gets a call from work sending her to consult on a job and it turns out that Ethan is a security specialist for that company. At first he is pretty miffed that she ran out on him after their night together, but then he begins to pursue her knowing that she will be spending some time there. Jasmine resists at first, then agrees to a casual no strings affair for the time she is going to be there. Their chemistry is combustible and they manage to fall hard for each other fighting the "more" all the way.
I really liked Jasmine and Ethan together, but I wanted more of them. I know that the shortness has to do with it being a novella, but I just think that there is a little more to their story that I would love to read about. I am hoping for Tabitha's story next.
