Book Review - A Tragic Wreck by T.K. Leigh

My Thoughts

After being completely wrecked at the end of A Beautiful Mess
I couldn't wait to read A Tragic Wreck by T.K. Leigh. So I had to get it the day it came out and spent the day with Mr. Burnham. Seriously, that naughty-talkin', order-givin' alpha man is just too yummy for words.

There is so much I love about his relationship with Olivia. In this part of their story I love that he joined in expressing his feelings through song. All along Olivia has done this and it was nice to see him do the same since a passion for music is something they share. I also loved that Olivia gave Adele the what-for in song which resulted in a hot-n-heavy smooch with Alexander. Better than a cat fight for sure.

Alexander and Olivia's relationship is still an emotional roller coaster ride, but one you can't help wanting to get onto and you don't want to get off. It's a love story that will make your heart flutter and will break it as well. It's a story about a shattered heart being put back together through a powerfully intense yet sweet love. I adore them and their story and I think you will too.

Haunted by her past, Olivia Adler flees Boston for a beach in Florida, leaving everyone behind, trying to shut the world out. Remaining a relative recluse in her self-imposed prison, she tries to turn everything off, wanting to feel nothing. But a new acquaintance won’t let that happen. Back in Boston, everywhere he turns, Alexander Burnham is reminded of Olivia… His Olivia… He tries to dull the ache left in his heart the only way he knows how… in the bed of a beautiful woman. But Alexander isn’t about to lose his Olivia. After a clue comes to light regarding Olivia’s whereabouts, can he convince her to return to Boston with him? When a force that has laid dormant for months resurfaces, can Alexander still protect her from the unknown danger? And when Alexander comes face to face with a shadow of both his and Olivia’s past, will he be able to tell her the secret that is threatening to tear them apart?

Book Review - Vanished by Irene Hannon

My Thoughts

Irene Hannon is quickly becoming one of my favorite fiction suspense authors. I loved her books Fatal Judgment and Lethal Legacy and couldn't wait to read her newest book Vanished. It is the first book in a new series - A Private Justice.

I love a good mystery. One that I can't figure out until the very end of the book. Vanished is one of those books. From the beginning moment when Moira sees the face of the woman on the rainy road, I couldn't read this one fast enough. I also love how smart she writes her female characters. Moira while she was victimized, she is not a victim. She didn't take the easy way of things and had to know the truth. Enter the private investigator that changes everything. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

About the Book

Reporter Moira Harrisons is lost. In the dark. In a thunderstorm. When a confusing detour places her on a rural, wooded road, she's startled by the sudden appearance of a lone figure caught in the beam of her headlights. Though Moira jams on her brakes, the car careens across the wet pavement--and the solid thump against the side of the vehicle tells her she hit the person before she crashes into a tree on the far side of the road.

A dazed Moira is relieved when a man opens her door, tells her he saw everything, and promises to call 911. Then everything fades to black. When she comes to an hour later, she is alone. No man. No 911. No injured person lying on the side of the road. But she can't forget the look of terror she saw on the person's face in the instant before her headlights swung away. The person she hit had been in trouble. She's sure of it. But she can't get anyone to believe her story--except a handsome former police detective, now a private eye, who agrees to take on the case.

As clues begin to surface, it becomes obvious that someone doesn't want this mystery solved--and will stop at nothing to protect a shocking secret.
