In this part of Declan and Kara's story we get a peek at their past on the ranch where it all began. Declan was a ranch hand for her father and tried his best to make money for his future while trying to stay away from Kara.
Years later she comes back into his life and Declan has a proposition for her in exchange for the money she needs to save the ranch. Kara has put up walls to guard her heart that he broke years ago, but the fact is that she is definitely still in love with him.
I love that in this part of their story we get to see more of Declan's heart. Plus there's the kink that's scorching. I so enjoyed it.
