My Thoughts
Having loved Jodi's This Man series, I couldn't wait to read this book. She writes in a way that I am immersed in the characters lives from the very first page. Cami and Jake's story was just like that and I couldn't put it down until I hit the last page. Jake is hired to be Cami's bodyguard by her father who has way too many enemies and some that aren't known by anyone besides him. I wanted to give her dad a good kick. Now I loved that Jake thought about her one way when they first meet and then after getting to know her things change between them. I really adored Cami. She was sassy even as vulnerable as she was with being threatened. She and Jake were quite the match giving damn good scorch. I loved watching them fall in love and Cami becoming everything Jake never knew he needed. I can't wait to read whatever Jodi comes up with next.
