My Thoughts
Releasing Me begins with Addy and Quinn not only fighting for their relationship, but also to survive each other. Quinn is recovering from the accident and is bitter and resentful of Addy and is blaming her. He also picked up his daddy's alcohol abuse to self medicate along the way. He runs Addy off with his cruelty right into the arms of another man (totally team Jake). I will admit that at this point I didn't want Addy to go back to him...ever. I kept asking how much pain and heartache should one person endure. So she was married before him. It wasn't like she was still married to him or a serial killer or anything. For crying out loud. Seriously. Then Addy goes back to him and this man just sticks the knife into her heart and twists it by bringing women into their home. Oh my. At this point I am talking to Addy telling her to leave quickly not stopping anywhere near the kitchen knives. She stayed and fought for them. Their story is one hell of a roller coaster ride, but it is a love story.
I give Releasing Me 4 hearts!
About the Book
A tragic accident. A hidden past. An unbreakable love.
Never goodbye …
I thought Addy stole my soul.
Her beauty blinded me.
Her heart called to me.
Her touch healed me.
She gave everything and asked for nothing. Then I broke her. The depths of her pain were veiled by the reflection of my own. I didn’t deserve her, but I wanted her––I needed her. In my darkest hell, I heard her voice. That’s when I knew …
Addy was my soul.
Deep breath … I am peaceful, I am strong.
Quinn was worth the risk.
He took away the numbness and gave me unfathomable pleasure. Every emotion felt magnified, every moment felt like the last.
My heart found purpose.
My body came to life.
My soul returned.
His weakness gave me strength, and his past held my future. He saved me by … releasing me.
