Book Review - Her Secret, His Surprise by Paula Altenburg

My Thoughts

A one night stand with a bartender (so she thinks) named Logan at a business convention changes everything for Cass. She goes home with more than just memories of their shared night of passion. Fast forward two years later when she walks into her boss' office to find that Logan is going to be filling in for her assistant. He is investigating secrets being stolen from her office. Not only that but he is staying with his grandmother who is her next door neighbor. Logan who has been a wanderer for most of his life due to his work will find two very important reasons to settle down - Cass and the daughter he just met.

I so loved that Logan's grandmother and the others in the neighborhood had adopted Cass and her little one as family even before Logan was in the picture as the baby's daddy. Knowing that she was alone, they surrounded her with love and gave her the opportunity to love them right back. Such a sweet part of the story.

I give Her Secret, His Surprise 3 hearts!

About the Book

Since being disowned by her strict father, Cass Stone has spent her adulthood trying to prove him wrong. Her drive has led to more success than her family ever thought she’d achieve, and life is looking great. Not even an incredible and mysterious one night stand that leaves her a single mom can trip her up...until the father of her baby stumbles back into her life, as sexy and unreliable as ever.

Logan Alexander hasn’t forgotten the night he spent with Cass two years ago, but he never expects to end up undercover as her assistant. His job saves lives-like it should have saved his brother-and he can’t afford complications. It’s difficult enough to maintain his cover as a carefree wanderer when he realizes his attraction to Cass hasn’t faded...and then he meets Cass’s daughter.
