My Thoughts
Easy and the rest of the Hard Ink crew just finished their rescue mission getting Jenna back. He is drawn to her for many reasons and wants to be there for her in every way possible. Poor Jenna has been through so much and is leaning on Easy to help her get past her panic. He makes her feel safe. Easy understands PTSD very well as he suffers from it as well. He lost his best friend when a mission went wrong in Afghanistan and blames himself for that loss. He has kept these feelings to himself until now. I loved how the Hard Ink family rallied around him when he shared how he had been feeling. You could feel in the words written how hard it was for him to do that and they just loved on him as the family they have become. Easy and Jenna spend a lot of time together as she recovers and their feelings for each other grow past rescuer and rescued. I loved how open they were with each other from the beginning and how Jenna tells him she believes in him which sparks his own belief. Laura did so well in writing about PTSD in Easy and Jenna's story. When I was finished reading, I wanted more of the Hard Ink family. I can't wait to read the next story that comes out.
I give Hard to Hold On To 5 hearts!

About the Book
Edward "Easy" Cantrell knows better than most the pain of not being able to save those he loves—which is why he is not going to let Jenna Dean out of his sight. He may have just met her, but Jenna's the first person to make him feel alive since that devastating day in the desert more than a year ago. Jenna has never met anyone like Easy. She can't describe how he makes her feel--and not just because he saved her life. No, the stirrings inside her reach far beyond gratitude. As the pair are thrust together while chaos reigns around them, they both know one thing: the things in life most worth having are the hardest to hold on to.
