Ella works at the snack bar in the small town where she's been hiding out. She is on the run from her abusive husband who everyone believes is a good guy even her parents. He only shows that evil side to her as he wants ultimate control over her. Ella meets Liam at the snack bar and one kiss and a shocking proposal changes everything for her. Liam is actually a billionaire and wants to take her home with him.
That's when things go wrong. Liam leaves her alone and Ella takes off. She feels like he's giving her money instead of his time. She is fighting that control he has over her. For weeks they are separated and she finally goes back to him bearing her heart.
My heart broke for Ella. She went through such a nightmare with her husband not only bearing the physical scars but the emotional ones as well. Liam made me want to give him a shake or two when he threw a few tantrums. I did like the two of them together though. My heart also hurt for her over the loss of her friend. I really felt bad for Nathan as he never really stood a chance with Ella as more than her friend. I would really love to read his story. I am looking forward to reading what comes next for Ella and Liam.

Laura Marie Altom is the author over 40 books in three
different genres. She's been happily married to her college sweetheart (Go
Hogs!) for 25 years and believes their boy/girl twins actively plot to drive
her crazy!
Now that her kiddos are in college, Laura spends her days
contentedly writing and chasing after the family menagerie of pets, ranging
from a mutt named Sweet Pea, a mini-long-haired dachshund named Cocoa, a Yorkie
named Daisy, and Domino--a black-and-white stealth cat she rarely sees. There are
