Mia is hiding the fact that she's a shifter and is attending college. One night outside a bar she is attacked by shifters and Lucas comes to her rescue. Lucas is the alpha of a local pack and feels a draw to Mia but has no idea why another pack would want her enough to start a war. Until he finds out the secret she has been hiding.
Mia and Lucas have some serious chemistry, but he fights it due to losing his mate. Mia has been alone so long that it's hard for her to depend on anyone else. Especially with the mixed signals that Lucas is giving her. I LOVED the beginning of their story and can't wait to read the next in the series.
