Book Review - Sweeter Than Sin by Shiloh Walker

My Thoughts

Adam has been reliving a nightmare almost every night for the last 20 years. Since that night he received the phone call from Lana asking for help. He was in love with her and never got over her disappearance. For a long time he drowned his hurt in alcohol and women and then it was just women. Then one night he passes by the river and there she is after all this time.

Lana had been in hiding for the last 20 years after what happened that night in that house. Now the house has been sold and they've found a body. It hadn't stopped and she had to go back to make sure that it would be finally over. If only she could remember what happened.

I so loved that Adam and Lana were together. This is a story of a horror that consumed a town and left many broken. Shiloh draws you into the story of a girl who tried to make a difference and did, a man who waited for her to return, and a town filled with a horrible darkness. I absolutely LOVED this book and can't wait to read the next one in the series.

I give Sweeter Than Sin 5 hearts!

About the Book

CAN’T FORGET THE PAIN

It took years for Adam to stop drowning his regrets in alcohol, and running the local bar doesn’t make it any easier—especially not when everyone he knows gathers there to discuss the shocking allegations that have shattered his hometown. When another murder rocks sleepy Madison to its core, it becomes chillingly clear that even more vicious wounds are waiting to be exposed.

WON’T RESIST THE PLEASURE

Nothing is sacred anymore, and no one is safe, least of all the mystery woman who shows up in town out of the blue, looking like every fantasy Adam’s ever had. She may have her own dangerous secrets, but she can’t ignore the urgent heat between them any more than he can. As a killer’s quest for vengeance explodes into violence, Adam is tempted to lose himself in the delicious promise of her body—until he realizes he’ll risk anything if she’ll give him her heart.
