Book Review - Comes the Night by Cathy Marlowe

My Thoughts

This is one of those books that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. And just when you think you have it all figured out, there's a twist to shake things up. Zach and their baby have been taken with only a note left behind, so Lizzie begins the hunt to bring them home. Only problem...Zach doesn't remember her or their life together.

This book was filled with suspense and I couldn't wait to find out how it ended. Nope...not gonna tell you.

I give Comes the Night 4 hearts!

About the Book

The truest loves can’t be forgotten…

When Lizzie’s husband disappears with their infant son, her desperate search for answers places her daughter in danger and reveals a terrible truth—her family is at the mercy of a ruthless madman who has destroyed her husband’s memories.

Zach awakens to a life he doesn’t remember—a life where the only thing that makes sense is his love for his young son. Struggling with feelings of distrust for a man he calls father, he battles his attraction to a woman cloaked in secrets while haunted by dreams of a love lost.

Held captive with her husband and son, Lizzie longs to tell Zach the truth, but doesn’t know if she can trust him to not only protect the son he loves, but also safeguard the family he doesn’t remember. When the choice of whom to trust is wrenched from her control, she risks everything in a frantic gamble to prevent their captor from rebuilding his legacy on the lives of her stolen family.

About the Author

Hello! I live in Missouri with my husband and a huge chocolate lab who tortures my spouse by plucking and eating his heirloom tomatoes just as they ripen! I have three great children. My daughter is a thoughtful reader of my early drafts, and my boys...well, they keep promising to read my books.

The Out of Darkness Series consists of sexy thrillers that explore what it means to trust someone when a master of deceit has woven a tapestry of lies and manipulation almost impossible to overcome. When I read, I like thrillers that keep you turning pages late into the night, while providing some humor amidst tension and angst as the hero and heroine trust their hearts to overcome obstacles.

I enjoy dark chocolate mint M&Ms accompanied by a steaming mug of coffee, like the theory of exercise more than the reality, and believe each person has the power to change the world.

I hope you love the Out of Darkness books and thank you for reading!
