She pretends to be a different person around him so that he can't see the hurt. Then after an encounter in a supply closet everything changes for them. You see Jacob has been hiding himself to her as well. He desires her more than anything, but struggles with parental issue just as she does. When his brother opens his eyes to how he has treated her because of his own wants, he decides that now is the time for her to see his true self and he will fight for her and their future together.
Damn this story was scorching hot. From a foursome that will leave you breathless to moments shared in a cabin that will have you fanning yourself, Akira and Jacob are super steamy together. An iceberg couldn't come close to cooling this couple off. And damn if Jacob isn't a quick learner when it comes to the naughty talking and a spank to remember.
More than the sex (which is saying a lot) I loved this romance between them and how their relationship grows as they open their hearts to each other. The moment Akira asks if he really meant that he could love her was heart breaking as she bared her brokenness in one question. I loved how Jacob had that power to make her see that she deserved to be loved.
