Book Review - Jackson's Sub by Mardi Maxwell

My Thoughts

Jenna has been in love with Jackson for years. She gives herself to him one night only to have him turn her away. Of course Jackson thought he was doing the right thing as he doesn't feel that he would be good for her since he has a temper. Jenna feels that he rejected her for the way she looks and that she isn't from a prominent family. After a year Jackson decides that he is exactly what she needs. Now he just had to convince her to open her heart to him again.

I fell for Jackson in the previous book when there was just a peek of him. Now that I was able to see more I fully tumbled for this sexy bossy man. I love how Mardi is able to convey so much of what the characters are feeling with her words. I loved how she crafted Jenna into the spunky yet submissive woman who loved a man enough to get his brand. When I reached the end of their story, I wanted more.

I give Jackson's Sub 5 hearts!

About the Book

A year ago, Jackson Ramsey sent Jenna Parnelle away after she gave him one night of passionate submission. At the time, he believed he was saving her from his temper and jealous nature, but Jenna believes Jackson had been slumming with the chubby girl from the poor side of town. A year later Jenna finds herself staying at the Ramsey ranch while she helps her friend Addison prepare for her wedding with Jackson's older brother, Cade. Already dreading being in the same house with Jackson, her problems multiply when Jackson begins to pursue her. The last year has taught Jackson that he's not the kind of man who would hurt a woman, much less the only woman he's ever loved. Now he has to convince Jenna, but she's decided to protect herself from further heartbreak. Who will win when a determined Dom pursues a stubborn submissive?

About the Author

I was born in Utah but I've traveled throughout America and lived in west Texas and the mountains of Colorado. I wrote my first erotic romance in the summer of 2013. It was accepted and published that same year. Since then I've written three more books in the Doms of Club Mystique series. At this time I'm busy writing the fifth and final book in the series.

My heroes are tough cowboys with military backgrounds and my heroines are strong, sassy and submissive. I put a lot of emotion in my books because I want the reader to fall in love with my characters and feel their pain and their joy. My characters also tend to show up in the next book in the series and every book has a twist of suspense and a happy ending.
