Emalie and Rainer grew up together and were the best of friends. They became more and then Rainer disappeared from her life breaking her heart. Years later she discovers that he has come back to town. She goes to his bar and finds that not only does he not recognize her, but he also has very little memory of their time together. My heart ached for her. Then on top of all that she finds out that he is in love with Pippa even though she is in love with someone else. She decides to accept a friends with benefits arrangement with him, but after him choosing Pippa over and over again, she gives that up and in the process reveals who she was to him long ago. I really wanted to give Rainer a shake quite a few times. I so wanted them to have their happily ever after.
I love that Bella so flawlessly blended stories and gave us a glimpse of the people around Emy and Rainer. This is a sweet and sexy story of a second chance at love and I enjoyed it.
