This is the first book of Aleatha's that I have read and I am totally hooked. She writes these characters that give you the feels from the very first time you encounter them on the page. My heart broke for Alex and all that she had been through with her family. Those moments both past and present had me on edge as I read them. When they trick her into coming home, I couldn't help but wonder if she would be able to escape. And her parents...they both need a kick or two. I wanted to shake her mom for not standing up for her.
Then there's Nox and the week of passion they share together. I loved that they didn't just jump into bed together. That Alex insisted on them getting to know each other. I so wanted her to call him. I wanted him to stop her from leaving. I really wanted them together.
When Alex finds out the truth from her mother, her whole world changes. She is forced to make a decision that will change everything for her and brings Nox back into her life. I can't wait to read what happens next.

“Just know, Miss Charli, no last name, the next time you
break one of my rules, I won’t respond as lightly.”
“You won’t?” I asked, more aroused than curious. “What
exactly does that mean?”
He moved closer, seductively teasing my breasts with the
presence of his wide chest. “I guess we’ll need to find that out together.”
I had to lift my chin to see his eyes. The light blue
sparkled with suggestions. The longer I stared, the more a part of me wanted to

About the Author
