Hawke was leading a wild life filled with women and partying after losing the girl he loved not knowing why. He thought they were in such a great place being together for so long and then one night changed everything. He lost Vale and his heart broke. Vale didn't give him up as easily as he thought. That night shattered her heart, but she did try to contact him getting no response. So they both go on with their lives.
Her dad's illness brings her back into Hawke's life as she joins his team shaking up both of their world's. What they do know is that they are still drawn to each other, but one still has a protective wall around their heart. I really enjoyed watching them rediscover each other. I can't wait to read more of this series.
