Pepper brought me right back into Pim's dark world right where we left her in Pennies. She has survived the nightmare and had gone from one master to another. Pepper takes her time with the start of this part of her story. Time to get me invested giving her words a chance to build to an explosion. That is what happens with Pim and Elder...total combustion. I love that Pepper can still deliver a shock to my system when I least expect it. Even though I do expect it from her, I never actually see it coming. Brilliant. I loved every bit of it and I can't wait to read more.

About the Author
Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include
writer, reader, sometimes wife. She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with
your head. The more tortured the hero, the better, and she constantly thinks up
ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex... her books have sex.
She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby who
puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends.
