Book Review - Return To Kadenburg by T.E. Ridener

My Thoughts

In The Truth About Kadenburg Presley reluctantly returns home after several years due to the heartbreak of a broken relationship to learn many things about herself, her family, her childhood friends, and the town where she grew up.

In Return to Kadenburg another former resident is coming home. Rutley has been summoned home by his father, the town sheriff, to help locate four missing persons - Presley, Lorcan, Greg and Dimitri. Before he left town, Rutley used to hunt werewolves and when he finds out that they are responsible for the death of his best friend and are the ones holding the missing four, he hunts once again. Meeting one of these four will change everything for him.

Presley and Lorcan are being held captive by Breslin when they are aided by someone they least expect, learning even more about their past and future in the process. Once they are free and back home with their loved ones, Presley and Lorcan then have to deal with what began before being taken and all that is to come. Unfortunately peace doesn't come once they arrive home as they have more to face together including a mad scientist experimenting with cross breeding and a jealous man bent on destroying their relationship.

I love Presley and Lorcan. What began as a sweet childhood friendship blossoms into a sexy grown-up forever love. My favorite moment of the book is when Presley is finally able to get past all those barriers and admit both to herself and Lorcan that she loves him. There are definitely some steamy private moments along with the sweet ones too. I can't wait to see what is in store for them and all their wonderful family and friends in the next book.

I give Return to Kadenburg 5 hearts!

About the Book

26 year old Presley Goult's life is anything but ordinary. Her mother abandoned her as a toddler after her father’s death, leaving Presley to be raised by the only family she has left-her uncle Arnold. After years of being away she returns heartbroken and devastated knowing this is the last place she wants to be. Unbeknownst to her, Kadenburg is not your ordinary town. There are secrets that have been kept from Presley for her own good. Will she find out the truth of who she is and the part she will play in the war that is about to erupt before it is too late to save everyone that she loves?

28 year old Lorcan Bamey was Presley's best friend growing up. He has always been there for her when she needed a friend and someone to lean on. Although he has always wanted more from Presley, rules are rules and he was forbidden to express his interest in having a relationship with her. You see, his upbringing was very different from most of the boys in town; the female must make the choice. It is part of Urseth’s law; laws that Presley will soon discover when her uncle finally decides to be honest about their ancestry.

Will Presley accept the truth about Kadenburg, and herself, in time to save her people?
