January lived that life that only most can dream of...wealth, popularity, beauty, and a famous fiance. In one moment everything changes for her. Her friends turn on her, her fiance gets arrested and breaks it off with her, her father is arrested and she is a suspect in the same fraud investigation.
Christian was living his dream. He was playing his heart out in college hockey and even made the NHL draft. He gave that up to continue playing with his brother in college. That all changed one night on his way home from a party when a loss shut part of his heart away.
When January walks into the bar where Christian works they definitely rub each other the wrong way. As time passes they find kindred hearts in each other. They get each other in a way that no one else can really understand. My heart broke for January when she goes home for the first time and for Christian when he visits his brother. You know that when they share these moments with each other that it is significant. It solidifies their relationship. Knits them together. I also loved their banter. It was witty and funny and made me laugh out loud.
