Book Review - The Possibility of Us by Lisa Burstein

My Thoughts

Cassie found out that her camp counselor passed away and her friend is taking her to the funeral. Ben will also be attending since he was at the same camp. That is actually how they met and got together. They have been broken up for several months now and aren't actually on speaking terms. Both are coming to the funeral with baggage, but more than that they still have feelings for each other. It's just a matter of whether or not they can get past the secrets, broken hearts, and trust issues.

Through most of the beginning of their time together I just wanted to lock them in a room and tell them to talk it out. Outside of the banter with Ben's brother, Drew, Cassie was keeping her thoughts and feelings inside. Drew was actually my favorite character. He is so much like Cassie in trying to avoid conversations. He doesn't use silence, but instead does the whole naughty talk. His chats with Cassie are always witty.

I give The Possibility of Us 4 hearts!

About the Book

One weekend together could change everything…
When her friend called to tell her about the funeral, Cassie wanted to say no. She had enough to handle with her own hollow existence. But she knew she should pay her respects to her old camp counselor…as long as her ex, Ben, wouldn’t be there.
Except Ben is there. Still gorgeous, still angry, and still able to penetrate her defenses with one intense stare. All the reasons they left each other in a flurry of heartache start to fall away over one long, snowy weekend.
But tough Cassie can’t truly open up to Ben when she knows confessing her secrets will leave her raw, defenseless. And the possibility of forever might not be enough to gamble on all the impossibilities of now.
