My Thoughts
Sadie writes an online column about dating. After more than her share of disastrous dates, she decides to write about being on her own for a time without having a man in her life. Unfortunately at this same time super sexy Niko begins to pursue her which challenges her on so many levels. This is out of the ordinary for Niko as he doesn't like for anything to interfere with his game. He has a family to think of as he so wants to help make their lives easier. He has always considered relationships to be a distraction. There is something very different about Sadie though. He wants more with her. They begin to lower the walls and fall for each other. Spending time getting to know each other brings them so close. Sadie has lost her family in an accident and hasn't let anyone in until Niko. Both fear getting their hearts broken, but lose themselves to each other regardless. Theirs is such a sweet and sexy love story.
This was the first book I read in the series and I am totally hooked. I immediately bought the rest of the books which I am currently devouring. Brenda writes in a way that invites you into Sadie and Niko's world. I hated to leave it when I reached the end of her book. Brenda also surrounds them with a wonderful group of friends that you can't help but fall in love with and want to know more about. Reading Drive really was like making new friends and feeling like you knew them forever. I absolutely LOVED this book and am now a HUGE fan of Brenda's.
I give Drive 5 hearts!

About the Book
Years of training are about to pay off for hockey player
Nikola Vereshkova. A call to play in the big league means he can finally come
through for those who need him. His relocation to Chicago comes with built-in
friends – and one gorgeous enemy who was less than impressed with him after
their first encounter.
Sadie Alexander knows all about the drastic measures
men will take just to get laid. She’s not only experienced it first-hand, but
lived to tell about it in her online column, Sadie Says. And even though she’s a
die-hard independent woman on the outside, the recent marriage of her best
friend has her secretly feeling more alone than ever.
Getting close to a
foul-mouthed Russian hockey heartthrob was the last thing Sadie expected. And
the timing couldn’t be worse since she’s sworn off of men for a writing
assignment. The line between love and hate is eroding, and Niko and Sadie find
themselves in deeper than they ever expected. Could something that started out
wrong end up being just right?
