Book Review - His to Claim #5 Breaking Storm by Opal Carew

My Thoughts

Rafe has now joined the band on tour. He has not only forgiven Melanie for what happened with Travis and Diego, but says she can do it again as long as he is there with her. Ummm...what? This is the same Rafe that totally freaked when she had lunch with Travis, right? Not going to complain because their foursome was scorching hot and probably the best part of this book so far. So the next day Rafe disappears. Total cliffhanger. Can we go back and talk more about that foursome?

I give His to Claim #5 4 hearts!

About the Book

Rafe Ranier was my boss and secret crush. A rock musician by night and head of a billion dollar empire by day, Rafe could have any woman he wanted. But I was just the shy secretary he never noticed. For years I obsessed over him, until I finally realized I had to walk away. I needed to break from the secure life I'd always known to discover who I really was.

I never expected Rafe to follow me.

Now I'm on the road with his band, Savage Kiss, and all my secret fantasies are coming true. But I fear I've made a huge mistake, because if I get any more attached to a man I can never truly have, my heart will be broken beyond all repair.

About the Author

Hi. I'm Opal Carew, a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author. I write erotic romance for St. Martin's Press and Samhain Publishing, and I self-publish stories. I also write romance as Amber Carew.

So why do I like writing erotic romance? I like being able to push beyond traditional boundaries. I like dealing with a female character who is growing and evolving - questioning her sexual boundaries and pushing past them. My stories usually include menage a trois. It is great fun to write a heroine choosing between two equally appealing heroes... or more.

These aren't women who just jump into bed with anyone. They find themselves in an unusual situation - something exciting and erotic - but a situation where they have to push themselves beyond their comfort level. As a result, they grow as a person. So often fear holds us back - of what others will think of us, of what we will think about ourselves - and we don't follow our hearts. These women push past that fear.
