My Thoughts
Jilly gets roped into a promotional date with someone who won a contest. Imagine his surprise when his date turns out to be Hailey. Hailey and Jilly grew up together and were best friends with hidden feelings for each other through high school. Things were left on bad terms as he went off to play ball while she stayed home. Hailey has now moved to New York and secretly writes a series of books based on the team that Jilly plays for. One date isn't enough for either of them and they start seeing each other and even have that moment when they clear things up about their past which brings them even closer. Then Hailey's secret comes out and things will never be the same for them.
I loved Hailey and Jilly together. Even though they are both painfully shy, they bring out the best in each other. I have to admit that I wanted to kick the guy for leaving her when he finds out about her writing, but he totally redeems himself when he fights for her. I absolutely LOVED the bonus chapters and can't wait to read the next book in the series.
