Book Review - One Night in Vegas by C.M. Stone

My Thoughts

Eliza comes home to Vegas to spend time with her brother who is playing matchmaker. He arranges a New Years Eve dinner with her which he conveniently misses and sends his friend Chris in his place. Eliza has had a crush on Chris since they were in high school and now ten years later they are together. They spend their time reminiscing about their shared past, catching up on the time they have been apart, and moving towards a future together.

I enjoyed their story and just wished that it was a bit longer.

I give One Night in Vegas 4 hearts!

About the Book

You can't avoid fate…

Eliza DeMatteo returns to her hometown of Las Vegas on vacation knowing her matchmaking older brother is probably going to try and set her up with his best friend. But Eliza already knows plenty about sexy cowboy Christian Yerrick, the man who crushed her heart when they were kids. In fact, she's determined to avoid Chris completely...until she runs into his truck on the Las Vegas freeway.

Chris has his own misgivings about seeing Eliza. His lingering feelings for her trigger all of his issues with relationships. Especially long-distance ones, which is the only kind of relationship they'd ever have. Still, there's no reason they can't enjoy New Year's Eve together. But when the fireworks between them burn hotter than the Vegas Strip, Chris and Eliza know they only have one night to get it right. Because this time, what doesn't happen in Vegas could haunt them forever...

About the Author

I grew up in Boulder City, NV–just outside of Las Vegas–and went to college there in Southern Nevada before moving to rural northwestern Wisconsin. That constant struggle in my own heart as I’m torn between the excitement and opportunities of big cities versus the beauty and peace of the country shows up in my writing pretty often.

From my earliest memories, I was telling stories and finding ways to record them. At seven, I wrote my first book (a sci-fi thriller!) and sold it door to door. Luckily, publishing requires a little less walking in general or else I might be in trouble.

These days I’m writing romance, inspired on a daily basis by my partner and muse.
