My Thoughts
Olivia and Alex grew up together as step siblings, but Olivia has been hiding within her new life. When someone attacks her and she defends herself the only person she can call in Alex. While she needs the help, this also puts her in much danger due to what Alex's life is all about now. The life that he told her he never wanted and would run away from when they were together years ago. But he lied to her about so many things that she doesn't trust him as far as she could throw him. With good reason as he plays her all over again when she returns. When confronted with that life again, she runs from it and from him. Knowing that the last thing she wants to become is her mother.
This story was so good that I lost myself within it and couldn't believe it when I reached the last page. You think you know what's going on and then the author throws a curve that you didn't see coming. I love those kinds of stories. I loved this one and can't wait to see what happens next.

leave until someone’s dead. Olivia’s salvation comes from the person she least
expects: his son.
Six years later, Olivia and Alessandro are reunited when her
life is threatened. If time has proven one thing, it’s that repeating their
parents’ mistakes seems inevitable.

sentence, two unlikely lovers find each other only to be separated by their
cruel reality.
