My Thoughts
Private is a very successful investigative agency and they have branches all over the world. Now they are opening one in Australia. Craig is in charge and is helped by Justine who is matched with Jack who co-owns the agency with Craig. Of course it would be an opening without a big party and a man shot a few times as well as missing some body parts falling into the middle of everything. Turns out it might have been a kidnapping gone wrong and the father of the man hires Private to find out what happened. This book is classic Patterson although a bit more predictable than ones I have read previously. A good read overall.
I give Private Down Under 3 hearts!
About the Book
The world's most exclusive detective agency opens a new
office - in Australia!
With the best detectives in the business, cutting edge
technology and offices around the globe, there is no investigation company
quite like Private. Now, at a glittering launch party overlooking the iconic
Opera House, Private Sydney throws open its doors . . .
Craig Gisto and his newly formed team have barely raised
their glasses, however, when a young Asian man, blood-soaked and bullet-ridden,
staggers into the party, and what looks like a botched kidnapping turns out to
be a whole lot more.
Within days the agency's caseload is full. But it is a
horrific murder in the wealthy Eastern Suburbs and the desperate search for a
motive that stretches the team to the limit. Stacy Friel, friend of the Deputy
Commissioner of NSW Police, isn't the killer's first victim - and as the bodies
mount up she's clearly not the last . . .

About the Author
It is no surprise that in January, 2010, The New York Times
Magazine featured James Patterson on its cover and hailed him as having
"transformed book publishing," and that Time magazine hailed him as
"The Man Who Can't Miss." Recently, NBC's Rock Center with Brian
Williams profiled Patterson's prolific career, AARP named him one of the
"50 Most Influential People Who Make Our Days a Little Brighter," and
Variety featured him in a cover story highlighting his adventures in Hollywood.
In 2013, it was estimated that one-in-five of all hardcover
suspense/thriller novels sold was written by James Patterson, his books have
sold over 300 million copies worldwide, and he holds the Guinness record for
the most #1 New York Times bestsellers of any author. And his success isn't
based solely on thrillers like the perennially popular Alex Cross, Women's
Murder Club and Michael Bennett series. Patterson is now also the current
bestselling author in the young adult and middle grade categories.
