When Joaquin's best friend is killed while investigating women disappearing he decides to pick up where his friend left off. He finds Bailey and takes her to Dominion to see if she is the one that LOSS is hunting. He is extremely attracted to her and she him, but Bailey struggles with her feelings for not only a man that she just met but also one that has taken her. While they are navigating this new relationship they are also trying to dig through her repressed memories to find out why her life was spared years ago and why she is being hunted now.
My heart broke for Bailey as she remembers what happened to her family and I admire her courage for facing everything head on. I loved watching her and Joaquin falling for each other as they shared some very steamy moments together. I also loved that many of the couples showed up throughout the book, especially when they gathered to celebrate a birthday and a wedding. That was a wonderful surprise. I so wanted Bailey and Joaquin to find their happily ever after together. They had both shut down their feelings and protected their hearts for so long that it was lovely watching them open their hearts to each other. I just so loved their story.
