Sean longs for the fame and recognition that the rest of the band gets. He is also nursing a broken heart after losing someone. This consumes him and he is only distracted from obtaining it when he meets Melody. Unfortunately Melody wants nothing to do with the spotlight anymore after she walks away from her dance career. She was very much in the public eye then and especially after she was attacked and injured. Their relationship is scorching hot, but Sean has made it clear that she is only a distraction. Until she isn't. I really loved these two together.
