Burning Ember is like no other MC book I have read before. It's storyline is refreshingly different and had me hooked from the very beginning. I loved that Ember was so strong and sassy. Her relationship with Luce wasn't love at first sight. Hence her nickname for him. Things changed between them along the way. She so needed to feel safe and to be loved. Once they did open their hearts to each other, they were scorching hot together. Seriously sizzling. I also loved the men who surrounded and protected her. I definitely want to know more about them. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Darby Briar is an American author who loves writing stories about men with broken souls and women who don’t know their own strength. Most of her stories are dreamed up in the early hours of the morning, while driving, or while listening to music. She’s a business woman by day and a wife, mother, writer, and reader the rest of the time. She’s a lover of fiction whether it be a movie or book, but prefers stories with some romance, and ones that include a happy ending.
