Three years after a moment of passion with Dash, Annie shows up on his doorstep with their ill son needing his help to save him. Dash has a secret that he will have to reveal to her and there's this whole Gathering thing that his whole family has to attend where he will be made king. Then there's the kidnap attempt of his son that Dash thwarts off. The Gathering brings new danger and Annie's own secret. There are killings and hunts and some serious passion between Annie and Dash. They will have to work together to find out how to get through the attempts on their lives and discover a way to save their son. I really enjoyed their story.

About the Author
When she’s not writing, Laura Welling wears a lot of other
hats: mother, farmer, and software engineer. She's Australian but lives in the
United States on a horse farm, which she shares with her family, crazy dogs,
and various horses, cats and chickens. She is a compulsive reader of all genre
fiction, who started reading before the age of two, and never stopped. She
wrote her first “book” when she was five—a spy story, which has since been
joined in a bottom drawer by various other early attempts.
