You know you're in for quite a ride when the story begins with a man on a bike getting shot. King is trying to save Elena and gets shot on the way. I have to admit that I wanted to give King a shake or two along the way with this part of their story. He leaves Elena over and over again breaking her just a little more especially when she is having his baby. I totally got why she had issues with him choosing his club time and time again over her. I had to wonder why he wasn't able to get things together to rescue her from Carlos and kinda loved that she rescued herself. King was in way over his head trying to work everything out and not really doing anything about anything in the process. Now I did love that he stayed true to her during the time they were apart. I can't wait to read more of this series.
