I loved Paisley and Caleb's story starting out the Time River series and couldn't wait for more. AL surely gives a fantastic series continuation in Dakota and Ryder's story. I loved how their lives are intertwined from such a young age. That they have their own history including meeting at their tree. That these memories are held onto when they are apart later. I loved how Dakota loves on the people around her and so wanted Ryder to love her that way. Ryder set things in motion to keep them apart and then has to fight to stay away, but isn't able to especially when she and her son are in danger. He brings them into his home to protect them and isn't able to resist what his heart wants. Now her son is just flat out delightful. I laughed and swooned so many times throughout Dakota and Ryder's story. I can't wait to read more in this series.

My Thoughts

I am totally addicted to EVERYTHING that Candice puts on a page, but the Underestimated series is my absolute favorite. She creates these women who are so strong yet vulnerable at the same time. They are women that you could have fantastic conversations over a couple bottles of wine and know that they have your back in every way. It is no wonder that these men fall all over themselves to win them.

Jinx is definitely one of those women. She comes out the gate strong and complete badass from the beginning of the book. She has made it through a tragedy and the challenges in the aftermath with such courage and strength. Yet she has a fantastic sense of humor and loves so hard. That is first shown with her brothers and then with her men. I especially loved the friendship that just took hold between her and Mercy. She challenges everyone to look at things in a new way and I loved that too. Now let's talk about her men. I loved that these men were so all about not getting tied down in the beginning. Then Jinx came into their lives. What a change. These men are all about her. And man I have got to tell you all three of them are stellar at the naughty talk. They were also fantastic in the swoon department as well. I absolutely loved this book and can't wait to read more from Candice.
