My Thoughts
Lailah was born with a heart defect and has spent most of her life in the hospital. She writes her heart in a journal which includes a list of things she would like to do someday. Jude is working in the hospital where Lailah is a patient and comes across her eating pudding late one night. Something about her draws him in and he begins to leave pudding for her every night. She finally catches him during one of his late night pudding drop offs and they become friends. She tells him about things she has on her someday list and he begins to give some of those to her. Jude has his own heart issues that he is dealing with after losing his girlfriend in an accident. In the moments Lailah and Jude spend together, they begin to fall in love. It isn't an easy road with her being ill and him working through loss and guilt.
I so loved this sweet love story. Lailah and Jude are so good for each other. They learn to live and love together and through that their hearts heal.
